Very frustrating because when it did work, it was a nice feature. A few other things - lots of stuff I have read will say to completely reset the phone but you will lose all your settings and will need to recover everything. I have done that, its a hassle. If you go on the web there is lots of complaints about the Canon app. I don't know if thats indicative of the phone has issues or the app itself has issues. Well, I fixed it. No idea why but switching the SD card in the camera suddenly cured all the issues.
If i use my gb SanDisk card, it fails to connect although it used to work. Switching to another SanDisk card 32gb and it connects immediately and works normally. Reformatting cured the issues with the card. Interesting, hadn't seen anyone with camera connect problems report that it was related to the memory card, so hopefully if anyone else stumbles on this thread this may cure your issues as well!
