Check out our photo gallery detailing the extensive history of this great annual tradition from its starting point in to the latest entry, which premiered on FOX earlier this month. Each year, the Simpsons and their fellow Springfieldians take part in recounting three weird and wild tales which sometimes result in their demise before returning to their normal existences the following week.
Throughout their adventures, the characters have tangled with forces of nature, grappled with the acquisition of supernatural powers, and come face to face with villains such as vampires, mad scientists, killer robots, and, of course, the aliens Kang and Kodos. It was kind of boring, and overall just kind of a drag. The second segment, with the evil trees, is my favorite. This is probably one of my favorite Treehouse of Horror segments of the past few years. I really like the campy, and classic Treehouse of Horror feel to this episode.
It felt nostalgic, and really enjoyed it. The final segment, which as a parody of the Ring, was okay. I didn't like how it was based on a Tik Tok video, like they had to be cool with the young kids.
I thought it was a fun spoof. Nothing special, but it was fine segment. Overall, this was an okay Treehouse of Horror, with some fun ideas, but mediocre execution. We are nonprofit and non-corporate.
